Oasap Inspiration

It's making me sad that I've been silent for the past few days. I haven't been updating my blog as much as I want too because I don't have the time in my schedule to take pictures. Plus I actually don't want to wear something out of the box just for a review session where in you stay in the room for 9 hours. I feel like my outfit is wasted if I'm just enclosed in a room.

Anyway, to make up for you guys. I browsed through Oasap's site to look for items I want to buy and also get some inspirations for my future outfits. Seen above are the pictures of the looks I want to try. It just seems very me, very edgy and very laid back. :) What do you think?

Covered Up

Cover Up: Bloggers' Sale (Steph) | Top: Thrifted | Shorts: Levi's | Flats: SM Parisian | Bag: Artwork

Photographed: Pat Bacaltos (half of Style Zodiac)

Let's admit it. There are just those days that you want to replace comfort over fashion, right? But wait, you can actually be equally fashionable and comfortable at the same time! You just need to wear the right kind of elements in an outfit.

For me, my comfort clothes usually compromise of a pair of daisy dukes and a pair of flats. I started with my main element which is the shorts and paired it with a top which would likely exude the style that I want. For this look, I wanted the cover up and the high waist shorts to be the focus. So I wore a black basic top which I covered with this purple floral cover up. As you can see, the purple floral cover up and the shorts just pops out from the black top which is what I wanted to happen. Now I can be fashionable yet comfortable at the same time. In addition, I can move as much as I want and not worry about my poise while walking. :) Thank God for Comfy wear!

PS: This is actually what I wore to the Canon Event. I will blog about it soon! Thanks to Olive Cena for the invite! :)

Clashing Lanes

Top (Borrowed from my Mom): Soul Lifestyle | Skirt: Forever 21 | Shoes: Prima Donna

Finally! I get to wear something from Soul Lifestyle! I'd like to thank my mom for letting me borrow this cute lace top from Soul Lifestyle! :) See, my mom is fashionable! I wore this for a day shopping with my mom. :) She asked me to go shopping with her. I love you mom for supporting my desires especially when I'm dead broke.

Anyway, I always try to wear clothes that are easy to take off when shopping. I also limit the use of accessories because it is just tiring to remove thick necklaces and stacks of bracelets. Just want to keep it in a minimal so that shopping could be fun and hassle free. :)

PS: Sorry for the over processed photo. Since the lights in my room are yellow, I look like I have jaundice in the raw pictures. That's why I edited the lighting of my pictures and desaturated it a bit. :) Hope you don't mind?

Parisian

Hat: SM Dept. | Lace Dress: Oasap
Tights: Romwe
Don't worry guys, I wore white shorts here. ;)

Pearl Necklace: Mags & Forever 21
Mary Jane Wedges: Love Couture
Photographed by: Ariane Gamil

Two days ago, I received a parcel from Oasap.com. I've been waiting for this for about two weeks and now I'm so glad that it arrived just in time for a shoot with my friend Ariane. :) I specifically chose this dress because I totally love lace. You can wear it in any style you want be it romantic, innocent, edgy, bohemian and etc. For this look, I wanted to exude this lovely romantic "Parisian" girl look. I paired it with this sheer tights from Romwe to cover my legs, loaded up with romantic classic pearls, added up this cute boater hat and heightened up with these cute pair of mary janes wedges. I just wanted it crisp, clean and fuss free like a romantic Parisian girl style. <3

In addition, I also took a picture in this dress with an edgier look. I'll post the pictures soon. Just wanted you to know how you can use one piece of clothing in different styles which is very practical.

The winners of my giveaways are the following:

Asian Vogue x Kweshiedoodles: Jessamer Abing
Febrile Chic x Kweshiedoodles: Melody Co

please check your e-mails. :) Thanks to everyone who joined the giveaways!

Materialistic

F21 Red Pumps : Bought by LA | Tribal Prima Donna Wedges : Bought by my Mom

Pink Dress, Floral Cover Up and Black Necklace : Bloggers' Sale | Yellow top and Turquoise Necklace: F21 bought by Mom

Being on the top of the wheel is like wearing sky high heels 24/7. It feels great just to have that boost of confidence within yourself as you strut those heels every where you go. However, when you're already used to wearing them it's hard to wear them off in exchange of super flats which makes you feel undesirably short. That's when I realize fame and fortune makes us feel like that. I didn't realize how fame and fortune had such power to make us sin without us even knowing.

Moral: For fashionistas, fashion bloggers and everyone, lessen your spendings on unnecessary things and use your budget on what are essential in life. Remember, being materialistic is a sin.

PS: This post is inspired by my realizations the past few days. How other people have less and how lucky I am to have more than I should. I'm challenging myself to really try to lessen my spendings on material things and will try to re-use my closet staples in my future post. You should too!!
